Welcome to the Columbia - Kootenay Cultural Alliance Website!

The Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance (CKCA) administers and manages the arts, culture and heritage granting programs on behalf of the Columbia Basin Trust (CBT).

All funding programs delivered
by the CKCA are funded by
the Columbia Basin Trust.

On our site you will find information on the annual funding programs for the Arts, Culture & Heritage funding sector, contacts for your local arts councils in the Basin, projects that have been funded by the CKCA through the Columbia Basin Trust, arts events in the Basin, and the on-line art gallery showcasing the talents of local artists.
The rich and varied culture of the Columbia Basin fosters and develops the quality of life, economic aspirations and educational opportunities of the Basin's residents. A key component of this living process is the active involvement of the Basin's artistic and cultural community.

The arts provide a creative process for inspiring the people of the Basin to understand and express their connections with the history, ecology, resources and cultures of their home, so as to take care of it wisely for the future - this is central to the Alliance's vision for the future.
